About the at Lincoln Square Christkindl Christmas Market Chicago

Lincoln Square is becoming one of the most sought after communities in the Chicago area. Gentrification is occurring and new residents are moving into the neighborhood. But we want to keep those rich, "Old World" traditions alive. St. Matthias and the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce are proud host of the event. 47th Ward Alderman Gene Schulter proudly supports the Lincoln Square Christkindl Market. The Lincoln Square Christkindl market will benefit in part the Lincoln Square Foundation.

The Lincoln Square Foundation

Lincoln Square Christkindl MarketThe Lincoln Square Foundation supports educational and cultural activities in the Lincoln Square community. The proceeds from the Christkindl Market will in part support educational programs including scholarships, the development of a community center, a youth group program, sports activities, and the arts with an emphasis of keeping people connected at the neighborhood level.

St. Matthias Transfiguration School

Lincoln Square Christkindl MarketSt. Matthias Transfiguration School is situated in the heart of Lincoln Square, a Chicago neighborhood known for its rich cultural heritage, ethnic diversity, and deep-rooted faith traditions. A century ago St. Matthias was built to accommodate the needs of the growing Catholic population and now we find ourselves at a similar turning point. Visit www.values4life.com for more information on St. Matthias Transfiguration School.

With 300 new parishioners and a 32 percent increase in school enrollment, St. Matthias must renovate and expand its school campus to meet the needs of its current and future student body.

We offer our culturally, economically, and academically diverse student body the educational room to grow. We now need the physical room to grow.

With your generous support of the Lincoln Square Christkindl Market, St. Matthias Transfiguration will be able to realize our vision of educating students not only for who they are, but for who we know they have the potential to become.

Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce

Lincoln Square Christkindl MarketThe Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce is organized to focus attention and initiate action on the major issues affecting the economic well-being and quality of life in the area. We are a private, not-for-profit membership association supported by our membership and the City of Chicago, Department of Planning and Development. The policies and programs of the Chamber are determined by its membership through its Board of Directors. This Board, in turn, selects a paid full-time chief executive whose basic function is to organize and execute the Chamber's program of work. The chief executive assembles a professional staff to assist in supporting the membership. The Lincoln Square Chamber works through a number of committees and task forces. Members who participate in these committees and task forces have a direct impact on Chamber positions and have the opportunity to influence community action. For more information on the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce visit www.lincolnsquare.org.
